These are frugal recipes I am collecting from the internet.
PRINTABLE Jif Million Dollar Winning Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe 2007.

My husband made this up once, several years ago. We're going to make it tomorrow for dinner!

1 pound white beans

6 slices bacon

1/2 pound ham hock

1 onion chopped

2 carrots chopped

1 4 oz can tomato paste

salt and pepper

Soak beans overnight.

Fry bacon, drain and crumble. Set aside.

Fry onion in drippings until they are nice and clear.

Return bacon to pot, add 7 cups of water, rinsed beans, ham hock,

carrots, 1/2 T salt and 1 t pepper.

Bring to boil, cover and simmer until beans are tender.

Remove ham hock; cool. Remove bone, dice meat and return meat to soup.

Add tomato paste and 1 t sugar. Cover and simmer about 1 hour.

Season to taste.

Throw your overripe bananas in the freezer till you can do cook this.

Mix: 1 Cup Sugar & 1/3 Cup Butter

Add: 2 Eggs, 1 1/2 Cups ripe, mashed bananas (appx 3 or 4) and 1/3 cup water

Stir In: 1 2/3 Cups Flour, 1 tsp. Baking Soda, 1/2 tsp. Salt, 1/4 tsp. Baking Powder

Optional: choc chips or nuts

Put in greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until toothpick in clean. *Note: Looks burnt, but it isn't.

The BEST holiday appetizer I think I ever had was sausage balls!!!

Take 1 pound of sausage (mild, hot, or a mix), 2 cups of cheddar cheese (mild, sharp, or mix), and 3 cups of Bisquick or other biscuit mix.

Allow the cheese to come to room temperature and grate or slice up.

Combine all the ingredients by hand until a mooshy mixture!!
Shape into 1 each balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake them at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes
it makes about 40-50 balls depending on your definition of a 1 inch ball LOL
My mom says they have to be served hot...but I like them cold as well!!
I also like to serve them hot with eggs for breakfast!
If you aren't going to use them for a few days, freeze them though. They will get a bit soggy if left in the fridge for too long!!

4 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 stick butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla (I add a tablespoon though!)
1 cup flour
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Microwave (or heat) chocolate and butter in a large bowl on high 2 minutes or until butter is melted. (I put the butter on top of the chocolate squares so they all melt together nicely in the microwave.)
Stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixed with butter.
Stir sugar into melted chocolate until well blended.
Stir in eggs and vanilla until completely mixed.
Mix in flour until well-blended. Stir in nuts. Spread into greased and floured 13" x 9" pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 40 minutes or until top is crusty and wooden pick in center comes out clean. DO NOT OVER-BAKE.
Cool in pan, cut into squares.
What I usually do is double the recipe and instead of adding the nuts, I fill two 13" x 9" pans and then spread the nuts on the top of only one of the batches so only one has nuts and it is easy to tell which one. Enjoy!

Choose one pasta/rice:
4 cups egg noodles, uncooked
2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
3 cups shells, uncooked
1 cup rice, uncooked

Choose one fish/meat/poultry:
12 oz tuna, drained & flaked
1 lb ground beef, browned & drained
2 cups ham, cooked & chopped
2 cups chicken, cooked & chopped
2 cups turkey, cooked & chopped

Choose one or more extras:
1/4 cup bell pepper, chopped
1/4 cup black olives, sliced & drained
1/2 cup celery, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
4-1/2 oz green chilies, chopped
3 oz mushrooms, drained
1/4 cup onion, minced
1 pkg taco seasoning mix or homemade version

Choose one or more toppings:
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup cheddar, shredded
1/2 cup mozzarella, shredded
1/2 cup parmesan, grated
1/2 cup Swiss, shredded

Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease 13x9 baking dish.
Combine sour cream, milk, water, salt, and pepper with sauce maker
(omit sour cream and milk when using tomatoes); stir in frozen
vegetable, pasta/rice, fish/meat/poultry, and extra(s). Spoon into
prepared baking dish and sprinkle with topping(s). Bake, covered,
for 70 minutes; uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes.
