Tracfone handles their website badly, you do not know if a code is going to do anything for you until after you have bought
it. Some people had referenced getting multiple times the time of the card but what I got was exactly 60 bonus minutes
for the bonus code 14938 and 60 minutes for DMFL for a total of 180 minutes. I do not like that thing about not knowing what you are getting until you have purchased.

From Mike: 11/20/09 I used tracfone promo code 59292 today (11/20/09) with the purchase of 200 minutes and received 100 bonus minutes. I also purchased an additional 200 minutes for $20 in the same transaction. Just a word of caution, I often get a higher bonus than most people I read about on this site. For instance, when someone posts a 60 for 60 promo code, I usually get 90 bonus minutes.

I used code 86987on 11/19/2009 on a 400 min/1 year card ($99). I have double minutes for life on this phone, so I expected 800 min plus promo. I got 830 min, a disappointing 30 min bonus. Boo.

I used tracfone promo code 86987 today (11-12-2009) on a purchase of 60 minutes. I was hoping for an extra 30 minutes, but I received 120 minutes- double what I purchased! (I do not have "double minutes for life" on this phone.) I tried several other codes before this one worked.

Here is a tip on how to confirm codes before using.
1). Open an account on tracfone.com and register your phone.
2). Start to buy an airtime card whis is the same number of minutes as the one you have.
3). At the bottom of the page is a place to enter the promo code. Click checkout.
If the code is bad, you will get an error message about the code not being valid. Just keep trying codes until there is no error message. This means the code will work on your phone (the phone you registered). Good Luck!

On the tracfone website, I purchased a 120 min card, used coupon code 26733 for 40 additional minutes. While on the website I added 60 additional minutes for $10.00.( The page comes up after you choose minute card & enter promo code). I have a dmfl phone. I received 400 minutes total for $40.00. ($29.99 for 120 mins. + $10.00 for 60 additional minutes = $39.99). 120 min(doubled) + 60 min(doubled) + 40 promo code minutes = 400

web rather than directly from the phone because if the code does not

I ALWAYS redeem my cards on the web - that way, if I've used the code before, or it has expired,
I can always back up and try another code! NEVER do it from the phone - if the code is no good, you've lost the chance to
try again.

Do not use codes you used before because you might not get any minutes the second time you use it.
Unlike most plans, you keep your minutes and they do not expire, with active service.

Bonus codes TYPICALLY can only be used ONCE PER PHONE. Some people have succeeded otherwise, but they're lucky. You will want to keep track of which codes you have used on which phone.
