Three year olds are great!

Moms View Message Board: Parenting Discussion: Archive July-December 2003: Three year olds are great!

Last night we were sitting at the table eating dinner. Our ds (age 3) was not wearing a shirt because we took it off so he wouldn't get food on it because we were going somewhere right after dinner. During dinner ds decides that he needs to wipe his hands so he pushes his napkin to the side and puts his hands on the table, palms down, and drags them across the tablecloth. Dh and I just look at him and dh asks, "Son, why did you just wipe your hands on the tablecloth?" and ds replies with the most sincere look on his face, "Because me no have shirt on, Daddy." Dh looked at me and I looked at him and then we about fell on the floor laughing. What a great age!

LOL Too funny!

I'll tell you my 3 year old story.

We were picking strawberries about 4 weeks ago. I was carrying 3 ice cream pails full of berries, which were heavy so I was walking fast and my 3 yo says to me, "Mom, slow down! I'm not as young as I used to be!"

Where do they come up with this stuff?

Yesterday, my 2 1/2 year old realized that i don't have the same "parts" as he does. He calls it his "peeps or peepers". he looked at me with this confused look in his face and said "mommy, were did your peepers go?" LOL!

My daughter was playing on the jungle gym at the park with her cousins the other day. My brother was standing on the jungle gym with the other kids. My 4 year old was trying to climb where he was standing and she says "Excuse me Uncle Dave, but Isabella MUST come through!" it was just so funny the way she said it!
