Besides the lack of sleep from waking 3 hours earlier than I am accustomed to, I did great. I was so proud to see her off to school! Not a tear shed by me or her. WTG!

She did great all week and can't wait to go back next week.

We have our first PTA meeting next Monday and parent teacher conf next Thurs. I can't wait!

Mostly I am surprised at how little time I have to myself between dropping her off and picking her up. The day is gone before I know it.

Dana, it is so true about the day flying by!! IT really bothered me when the boys started school, because I was use to being able to travel when I wanted, etc... When they start school my whole day had to revolve around the hours of 8am - 3pm. Now I am use to it. But it was certainly an adjustment. I have become pretty efficient at how I use those hours. lol

Dana, is she half day or full day? Boy, can I relate to the schedule and the time flying by! It will be more adventurous for me this year. I'll be driving to the school 3x a day. Drop off DS and DD in the morning, pick up DD at 11:30 (half day K), and then pick up DS at 3:15. Conni is right. You become efficient with that FREE time!

Thanks for all the nice comments. I just love her to pieces. It was a wild and fun first week. Looking forward to a more productive (for me) week next week. I think I have the sleep matter under control now LOL.

Trina, all public K classes are regular day. They do get dismissed 10 min earlier than the other kids though. Her class time is 7:45a-1:45p.
We show up at 7:15 for breakfast.

Wow, that's such an early day for a child that young...up here in the North our kids won't go back to school until Sept 1....and their school day starts at 8:45 and goes until approx 3:10.

Is there a particular reason that kids in your area attend school so early in the day? I am sure it has some postive and negative points.
