Feels like she is trying to get out!

Moms View Message Board: Parenting Discussion: Archive July-December 2003: Feels like she is trying to get out!
By Joan on Monday, July 7, 2003 - 01:12 am:

I've got a little over 3 weeks until my due date and this baby is killing me!
I went for a non stress test on Sat. because of lack of movement and now she is moving so much that it hurts me!!
Sometimes pushing so hard on my cervix that I get pain in my upper legs!
I so hoped to go early with this baby, but when I went to the doctor on Wed. she said I was only a finger tip dialated and the head was still high up.
I really can't see how the head is up that high because I can FEEL the head hitting me in the cervix!!
My first son was 2 weeks late and my second son was just 1 day early....So this one will probebly follow suit and come when the due date arrives :(
I'm just so tired, hot, and moody :)

Just wanted to vent a little

Mara
due 7/27/03

{{{Mara}}} Hang in there! You're in the home stretch now. Anxiously awaiting the birth announcement. :)

I remember that feeling and feel for you. Hang in there!

Ohhhhh, I know the feeling! I was 4 cm dilated for over 2 weeks with my last boy, and I felt like I was going to explode! I could barely move! The time will come soon, but not soon enough for you, I'm sure....

Those last few weeks seem to drag on forever, don't they? I was in the same boat this time last year and I remember it well. I was due 7/24 and my son was born 7/26. :)

Keep your feet up, stay cool and she will be here before you know it! And please keep us updated!!!

Hang in there! You're almost there!

((((hugs)))))) Not too much longer to go! The last few weeks seem more like months. It gets to the point where you would rather deliver the baby and get no sleep for months to come, than to have to keep him/her inside for the last weeks of pregnancy.

My second son started doing that at 28 weeks (I had bed rest and premature labor 13 times). My advice is WALK. Especially stairs. That's what worked for me in the end (he ended up being a premie- but only one month early.) At that point I couldn't take it anymore!

My DS did that too! I swore he was stretched out totally with his his pushing against my cervix. Doubled me over quite a few times! That hurts1 I really feel for you and hope you will deliver on time. I know the doc said you were barely dilated and all that but remember how quickly things can progress once they get starte. Heck, I walked around thinking I would deliver at anytime since my doc told me I was dilated and effaced a bit, three weeks before my due date.
Stay cool.
