Neil Cohen
Chairman, Snapfish, CEO, District Photo, Inc.
Neil leads the team at District Photo, Inc., the nation's largest independent photofinisher. The company operates state-of-the-art facilities providing traditional and digital photo services to mail order, wholesale and retail customers.
The company began in 1949 when Neil's father, Melvin S. Cohen, purchased a five employee, black and white photofinishing lab from the District News Company. Since then, the company has grown into two high volume facilities in Beltsville, Maryland, which is also the corporate headquarters, and a facility in Newton-Abbot, England.
In addition to his roles as CEO of District Photo and Chairman of Snapfish, Neil also participates in a variety of professional and community associations. He is a past President and current Trustee for the Photo Marketing Association International, Inc., and a member and past membership chairman for the Young Presidents Organization. Neil also serves as a board member for Capital Camps, and as a Trustee and Committee Chairman for the Norwood School.
Neil earned a B.A. and B.S. degree from the University of Denver.
Raj Kapoor
President & Co-Founder, Snapfish
Raj has provided Snapfish with his forward thinking vision and leadership since he co-founded it in 1999. Before Snapfish, Raj was an executive at Excite@Home, where he helped grow the Internet powerhouse from 50 to 2,000 people and into a multi-billion dollar public company. Raj led Excite@Home's e-commerce efforts & broadband applications, with P&L responsibility for over $50M in revenue in an 80-person business unit. Under his leadership, @Home developed several innovative e-commerce tools such as broadband merchandising and "steals n deals" email newsletters. Raj pioneered new broadband applications that grew Excite@Home's network and its international ventures.
Prior to Excite@Home, Raj held positions in strategic planning, business development and product management in consumer interactive television services at Bell Atlantic Corporation. He also helped form the business plan for a Microsoft/Dreamworks joint venture, Dreamworks Interactive.
Raj received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and graduated from Carnegie Mellon with Honors and a B.S. in Mechanical/Robotics Engineering. He sits on the advisory board of Abilizer Solutions and has served as a board observer for IntoNetworks.com. Raj honed his entertainment skills with a stint as the lead singer in the rock band "Indian Elvis" and pursues daytime diversions in surfing, skiing, and running.
