The origins of our company date back to 1971 as a catalog business based in Seattle called World Wide Bedding Co. They sold a comforter-and-linens set called the “Scandia Down Ensemble”. It helped introduce the European way of dressing the bed to the American market. By the 1980s, the Company had about 80 authorized dealers of Scandia Down® products and also franchised Scandia Down® Shops across the country, as well as a catalog known as Natural Elegance. The business was soon renamed Scandia Down® and continued to flourish as more Americans began to appreciate the loftiness of superior down and softness of high thread count linens. In the 1990s, we began using our coveted goose-in-a-nest logo, which quickly became a trademark symbol of style and elegance for home furnishings. We also introduced our highly regarded Limited Warranty, and now stand behind our manufactured products for as long as you own them.
