When purchasing a projector it is important to identify your most important requirements. Some of these include:
Portability: Do you need to travel frequently with the projector? If so, size and weight should be one of your most important
criteria. Consider a Pico projector that weights about 8 ounces.
Video or PC use: Projectors intended for video projection must be able to display a much wider contrast range than those intended
for PC display. For video use, look for a projector with a contrast ratio of several thousand to one.
Resolution: This characteristics determines the amount of detail that can be displayed by the projector. This is of greatest
importance when displaying the output from a PC with a large projected image. Make sure the projector can display the output of the PC
in its native resolution (not scaled). Any scaling will introduce artifacts in displayed text.
Scan Rate: When displaying HD video on a projector it must be able to sync to 720P and 1080i video rates. When displaying PC content, be sure
that the projector can sync to the display output. This is more of an issue at higher screen resolutions like 1920 x 1080
Luminosity: This is the brightness of the projector in lumens. This is especially important if the projector will be used in fully lit rooms or room with
