Could you pass the test that (legal) immigrants take to become a United States citizen?

Just for fun, ladies! :)

I got 100%! Yikes!

Honestly, I guessed on one of the questions, but most of them I really knew.

By Kate on Friday, June 30, 2006 - 07:10 am:

Ugh, I got seven wrong!!! 65%!! I 'may' make a good citizen yet, it said, LOL! History and government is so not my thing....

By Mrsheidi on Friday, June 30, 2006 - 07:25 am:

I got a 75%...I got #8,9,10,16, and 19 wrong
I'm embarrassed about #9 and #10 though. :( I was very close though. :)

By Pamt on Friday, June 30, 2006 - 10:39 am:

80% here. It didn't hurt that I have just finished biographies of Abigail Adams and Martha Washington, so that has been a good review of early American history for me.

By Tonya on Friday, June 30, 2006 - 11:08 am:

I got 45%. Can you tell history was not my subject?

45-60%: Not too bad, but you really need to break out the civics books again -- word is, the INS is looking for an 80 percent score.

By Bellajoe on Friday, June 30, 2006 - 11:41 am:

uh oh, i got 60%. That is better than i thought i would do though.

Government was not my subject in school!

By Tink on Friday, June 30, 2006 - 11:51 am:

I almost didn't take this because I thought I'd do badly but I got a 95%!!! I missed #19, which relates to naturalizations forms, so I'm not too upset.

By Ginny~moderator on Friday, June 30, 2006 - 09:17 pm:

Pam - which biography of Abigail Adams did you read? (I got 85%)

By Rayanne on Friday, June 30, 2006 - 10:39 pm:

I got 45%

By Pamt on Friday, June 30, 2006 - 10:45 pm:

Ginny, It was called "Dearest Friend." You would really like Abigail---she was quite a little feminist! :) She and John also had a passionate 54 year marriage. The letters that they wrote to each other were surprisingly hot! Who knew? LOL

By Conni on Friday, June 30, 2006 - 11:01 pm:

80% here...

By Ginny~moderator on Saturday, July 1, 2006 - 01:51 pm:

Pam, I love that book. I've read it three or four times over the years, and now that you remind me, I'll look for it at the library next time I'm there.

If you go to the bottom of the page, there is a link to a video. They tried to get people on the streets to sing the national anthem. :)

By Jtsmom on Saturday, July 1, 2006 - 05:39 pm:

O.K. I bet I did the worst out of anyone on here! I am embarrassed to say that I got 35%! I guess history was not my strong subject!

By Amecmom on Saturday, July 1, 2006 - 07:58 pm:

I got the naturalization form question wrong, too, but that was it. This was a bit tricky, but like anything else if you want it badly enough, you'll learn the material.
