I had tried Firefox for a few weeks, but kept encountering assorted little bugs that didn't make it operate as smoothly as IE. It wouldn't handle javascript the way I needed it to, so I had to download and install the latest javascript engine from Sun, but that really caused a problem with my system, apparently some conflict somewhere, ... then I heard about the security holes, so I just uninstalled the whole thing and went back to IE for now. I'm going to wait until all of the bugs have been worked out.

I have been using firefox for about 5 months with no problems, now and all of a sudden I am getting that Adware on my comp, so I am going to get rid of firefox until we see what happens with it...
Thanks for the heads up Melissa:)

I love Firefox, and read about this security update, but I think it's all relative. IE is notorious for needing patches, having security breaks, etc. There are only a handful of things I can't do on FF, little things like using the description editor when selling on Ebay, so even with this flaw, I'm sold on Firefox. :) Thanks for the reminder Melissa.

I just started using Firefox. I have been using MSN Dial up for 3 years now, and we just switched over to DSL, and I didn't want to use IE. I always felt secure using MSN and never had any problems with it. Now I can't get my firewall to let me do a few things, so I have to monkey with that. I am muddling through and hopefully will be more comfortable with DSL soon. It sure is a lot faster!
