Broken off lightbulb!

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive March 2007: Broken off lightbulb!
By Shellyg on Monday, March 26, 2007 - 07:30 pm:

On my hanging lamp over my island in my kitchen, the glass lightbulb broke off leaving only the metal screw in part. Any idea on how to get that out? Its hard because its upside down!
Thanks so much!

A raw potato, just push the potato as hard as you can into the metal piece and turn as usual to unscrew.

By Shellyg on Monday, March 26, 2007 - 07:39 pm:

Really? Do I cut the potato flat before I do it?

By Tripletmom on Monday, March 26, 2007 - 07:42 pm:

NO,I just used the end of the potato, just push and turn and voila :)

Make sure the fixture is in the OFF position first.. And yes you just press the potato into the socket and twist..
