Anyone know lawyers in S FL

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive March 2007: Anyone know lawyers in S FL
By Yjja123 on Saturday, March 24, 2007 - 04:44 pm:

Just found out my friends hubby is cheating on her. She also discovered he has bought two properties (with chickie-poo) without her knowledge. She plans on keeping quiet and getting an attorney. No clue how to find a great attorney that will blindside this jerk. Any suggestions from those of you that have BTDT?

By Tripletmom on Saturday, March 24, 2007 - 05:26 pm:

{{{{Hugs for your friend}}}} Gosh,Is there something in the water these days???? No advice :(

By Ginny~moderator on Saturday, March 24, 2007 - 05:45 pm:

Ask Annie when she comes back from her break. She apparently has a lawyer she trusts.

By Yjja123 on Saturday, March 24, 2007 - 07:23 pm:

I didn't think she was in my area?

By Mrsheidi on Saturday, March 24, 2007 - 08:13 pm:

Wow. This guy is truly an idiot. I hope she takes him for all THREE houses. Do they have any kids?
Good luck!

By Yjja123 on Saturday, March 24, 2007 - 08:43 pm:

4 kids!!!!!!!!!!
She was completely surprised by this.

By Dawnk777 on Saturday, March 24, 2007 - 08:56 pm:

Unbelievable!

By Mom2three1968 on Saturday, March 24, 2007 - 09:33 pm:

Wow.....

By Mrsheidi on Saturday, March 24, 2007 - 09:38 pm:

I'm curious now...how in the world did she find out? That would be a VERY difficult secret to keep. I don't think I could keep quiet about what a douche-bag he is. I wouldn't be able to even look at him!

By Yjja123 on Saturday, March 24, 2007 - 09:52 pm:

It is quite a tale but another relative discovered it in a deed search. She didn't believe it and drove to one of the houses and he was there with chickie-poo (he is supposed to be out of town on business). She has to see him on Wednesday and is trying to keep it together so he has no clue that she knows.

By Bobbie~moderatr on Saturday, March 24, 2007 - 11:45 pm:

Hmmm, Are we sure she is just a chickie-poo? I have visions of Bigamy. Three houses?? One with his wife, one with the woman he was caught with, where is the third and who is in it???

By Bobbie~moderatr on Saturday, March 24, 2007 - 11:46 pm:

I would think she could contact the states Bar association for a referal..

By Mrsheidi on Sunday, March 25, 2007 - 12:12 am:

How long has he owned them? My gosh, I'd be so livid!! Bobbie, it DOES sound bigamist-like. I would be SOOOO tempted to approach the woman first. That way, if the woman didn't know, she WOULD in a heartbeat. I'm eeevilll...

By Yjja123 on Sunday, March 25, 2007 - 09:24 am:

Over a year ago they bought both houses.
The other woman works with him.
She 100% knows he is married. She speaks with my friend (wife) weekly so she is just as disgusting as the husband!

By Claire on Sunday, March 25, 2007 - 11:59 am:

Oh my.

By Colette on Sunday, March 25, 2007 - 12:30 pm:

That's just terrible. What is wrong with people like this? I just don't understand that kind of total disregard for the people that get hurt.

By Beth on Sunday, March 25, 2007 - 12:46 pm:

Poor women. I hope that he gets what he deserves. I would have a hard time not saying anything. Heck I would have had a hard time not running my car through his living room window of his new little love nest! LOL!

By Mrsheidi on Sunday, March 25, 2007 - 02:08 pm:

LOL, Beth! I totally agree! Is chickee-poo married as well? I'd be so livid. Although, I'd be tempted to invite her over for dinner with DH and the kids. Or, invite her over while "DH is on a business trip". That would be funny. Serve a whole chicken with a huge knife in the back...an alcoholic drink called "Affair" Drink ...I could go on...
I hope your friend has found a good attorney...these 2 people are disgusting. I feel for her!!! :(

By Annie2 on Sunday, March 25, 2007 - 04:49 pm:

Yvonne, your friend needs to call the Fl Bar Assoc to find a divorce lawyer in her area; one that also has real estate/ finance experience.

She also should buy several books, one being Divorce 101: A woman's guide to divorce. Then you should copy all of the pages from my threads and give them to her. The BTDT information that I received here has been instrumental in how I found my atty and what I am asking for in my petition for divorce.

Fl is a no fault state. Basically everything will be cut down 50/50 unless the dh was a sole provider. How long were they married? Over 15 years will help the wife in custody, alimony and child support.

I'm sorry your friend is going through this trauma.

By Yjja123 on Sunday, March 25, 2007 - 05:04 pm:

Thank you Annie. I will give her the info.

By Yjja123 on Sunday, March 25, 2007 - 06:57 pm:

She hired a PI and has an appintment with a lawyer the beginning of the week. The PI is taking pics of everything :)

By Bobbie~moderatr on Sunday, March 25, 2007 - 08:11 pm:

Tell her, WE said you go girl....

By Dawnk777 on Sunday, March 25, 2007 - 11:15 pm:

Wow, just like the people on "Cheaters!" Won't he be surprised?

By Tayjar on Monday, March 26, 2007 - 09:53 am:

She needs to go online and get copies of both her credit report and his. A friend of mine was suprised to find out just how many credit cards they had because her now ex DH had opened many and was using them on his little chickie.

By Mrsheidi on Monday, March 26, 2007 - 09:27 pm:

How is she today? Give her some hugs for us...

By Yjja123 on Monday, March 26, 2007 - 09:36 pm:

She is hanging in there.
