Okay, well long story, but we are changing summer plans. I need a vacation with my family. One of our prereq's is to go somewhere new! So we have never been to the east coast. We will drive, so about 16 hours is our limit. This will get me to hilton head and that area. We have done florida.

So where should we go? Any great ideas?

We did the y camp at estes park last year, it was fabulous. We love the whole preplanned program ideas (oh and cheap). The year before we went to a state park in arkansas. We stayed in condos, but did all the park stuff.

I would love ideas for south carolina from someone who has btdt!

Well, we always go to Edisto Island in SC. It's close to Charleston to shop and see all the things that are there, plus the beach is beautiful and very quiet.
