Is Your Computer Ready For Daylight Savings Time?

In the past 2 months, you should have received a Security Update from Microsoft (if your computer is set up to receive them) that adjusts your
computer clock to the new rules that are taking effect tomorrow morning.

To find out if your Windows XP computer is ready, follow these directions:
1. Click on Start and click on Control Panel.
2. In the Control Panel, click on "Add or Remove Programs".
3. Click on the box next to "Show updates".
4. Go to the bottom of the list and look for "Security Update for Windows XP (KB931836)". If you have it, your computer is all set for the new time change. You're done!
5. If you can't find it, you'll have to go this link to download it: http://snipurl.com/1am18
Follow the instructions. Again, this is only for Windows XP users.

Thanks, Kathy!
Also, if you use Outlook for appts. you need an update for that, too. Go to the Microsoft Office update site and dowload the update.

Thanks! I knew those updates were needed thanks to the IT guys at work, but had no idea how to check for them!

My computer went through the transition, just fine. I already had the update.

Yes, Microsoft sent out the update about 2 or 3 weeks ago. With automatic updates, everything should have gone fine.
