Laptop mouse button question

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive March 2007: Laptop mouse button question
By Marg on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 - 04:55 pm:

Can you use a desktop mouse with a laptop?

Also, when using my laptop, you know how you use your finger to tap like the lefthand mouse key? Mine will not do this and I have no idea how to reset or what to look for in the instruction manual.

TIA

Yes I have a regular mouse hooked up to my laptop at home.

In your control panel there are options for using the keypad mouse go there and search around you should find it.

Thank you Tonya, I have no idea how it became 'disabled.'

Can I ask which you use more the regular mouse or the mouse on your laptop?

I personally dislike the touch pad on my laptop, so I always use a laser mouse instead.

Yeap. We have an optical mouse, in the case for the laptop. I hate the touchpad, too.

I don't use a mouse, I like my touchpad.

It depends on what I am doing and where. If I am at the table playing a game I use the wireless mouse. If I am laying in bed playing on teh computer I use the laptop mouse because no hard surfaces to use the wireless. I prefer the wireless but it doesn't always work where I am at.

I use a bluetooth mouse with my laptop. Love it.
