What Do You Use?

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive October 2006: What Do You Use?

For all of you photo editors out there that like to play with your pictures and make them neat, what do you use. I want to get a program to do cool things to my pictures. What programs are good and what should I stay away from? TIA!!!

Paint Shop Pro is awesome. It can do a ton of fun things. :)

I use Jasc Paint Shop Photo Album. It originally came with my Dell a few years ago, and then I purchased it because I like it so much. It has lots of features that I've never even used with regard to scrapbooking. You can customize your printing size, make a ton of different print combos, use a safe archive thing that I've never used, and tons of frames and edges. I like the quick Fix feature for poor lighting, but I can also customize it to do exactly what I want with the picture. It was around $40 and I downloaded it online. HTH :)

GIMP is as powerful as Photoshop and has one huge advantage...It's a completely free download!

I use Microsoft Picture It. I make a calendar every year for my grandparents and it is so much fun. I can do simple editing or I did things like my son was elvis for halloween I cut him out and added him to a Vegas picture or I found a campagne ad for Clinton/Gore and put my sons heads in the picture and the bottome said "this house supports Gray/Gray 2042". IT is fun and easy to use.

I use Paint Shop Pro. DH has Photoshop CS on his computer, because that is what he is used to using at work, to tone pictures for the newspaper.
