Table Decoration Ideas Needed

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive October 2006: Table Decoration Ideas Needed

I am usually really creative but am lost right now. I know that our colors are purple (all shades) and silver. I also know that I do not want any flowers or candles on my tables. I want different.

I have these lites that I want to use
lite
they are size wise like 1.5 inches square and high. Nothing huge but allot of power. They have 3 functions 2 strobe types and 1 solid. And they are submersiable (sinkable in water).

I want simple but different and not expensive. I was thinking like small glass fish bowls (beta bowls) in the center of each table with these lites each bowl with water and purple food dye. Maybe with some purple and or silver tuelle around the top tied with a ribbon of the opposite color.

And maybe some of these marble rocks around the table.
rocks

Or ordering silver and purple colored hershey kisses with printed wrapper tops.

Ideas ladies.

Maybe some small floating candles can be placed in simple glass bowls and placed in the middle of the table?

Nevermind you said no candles.

Tonya, I think that idea sounds very cool! We were at a wedding last year that had a beta fish in a bowl with a candle floating in it as a center piece (i have no idea what happened to the fish after the wedding!). It took us a while to notice there was a fish in the bowl. The kids thought it was pretty cool too.

I think those lights would be really neat in the bowl.

I'm totally not creative, so i have no other ideas for you. I think your idea is great.
