Around 12:15 as Im putting Faith to sleep for her nap, the phone rings. I look at the called ID, and see it is a cell phone. My husband is trying to sell one of his cars, so I always answer the phone(Dont want to miss out on a sale LOL). This mans voice asks me "Who am I speaking too?". So I say "Who is this calling?"...z(I dont like when a stranger calls my house and asks who I am). He said he was checking phone numbers on his girlfriends caller ID, and saw our phone number. Our number comes up with my husbands name. I figured he was checking up on his girlfriend. I have to admit I was a little confused for a minute. He kept telling me that he did not recognize this phone number etc.. I told him there are 5 of us in this house, and sometimes the kids dial numbers they are not suppose too. I assured him if that cell phone was dialed from our house it was purely by accident. He was pleasant enough, and just kept telling me he didnt recognize the number and it is on his girlfriends cell phone. He then tells me her name, now it doesnt ring a bell. Then I tell him, I do phone work for a local dog rescue group and I do call people back from my own phone. He said "Ahhh yes, Ok, no problem.." then told me to have a nice day and sorry for bothering me.
That was so weird. I heard about girlfriends/boyfriends checking out phone numbers and calling them back, but never figured somebody would be calling my house LOL

I will say I have done this before in the past. And by the sounds of it it must be someone looking for dog services from you. When you said that he was OK afterwards.

Hmm i think I would check into this a little further. write the name and number down. If nothing else, for the girl involved I would call her and say, your boyfriend called here to check up on you....so do you recall why you called me? Do you keep a log of who you call? Your phone records should show if you called.

I wouldn't worry about it. Sounds like he has some doubts about their relationship, or they just keep close tabs on calls to that phone (I do this cause we are a minute plan).

Sounds to me like a control freak checking up on her and you don't even want to go there..........I'd stay out of it and just forget about it..........I have a crazy neighbor who does that exact same thing and more........
