Has Anyone Ever Used Bobbi Brown Make-Up???

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive September 2006: Has Anyone Ever Used Bobbi Brown Make-Up???

She is the make-up artist that is on the "Today Show". I have trouble finding a lipstick that I like. Either the colour isn't right or it doesn't last.

I saw a BB colour on ebay that looked like it would work for me, however, even tho the ad said the lipstick was new, I was leary about buying lipstick on ebay, so I ordered it from Bobbi Brown's site. It was expensive ($21.00 plus shipping), but I only wear lipstick and mascara, and a little eye shadow if I am going out.

Anybody like or dislike her products?

I LOVE Bobbi Brown makeup and she has the best makeup brushs. All of her products are very natural looking, not heavy. I'm sure you will love your new lipstick!
I am very much a lipstick/lipgloss addict. They have one at bath and body works that has peppermint oil in it. Makes your breath smell good and your lips soft with a bit of color. I swear by the stuff.

Shelly - Burts Bees has a nice coloured lip gloss, too. The colours are very sheer and it tastes minty. This is the one in the tube. The one in the jar is nice, too. I have the raspberry one, but it is clear; no colour.

I LOVE lipsticks and lip gloss, too. I have so many, but sometimes the colour looks different on me than in the tube.

Thanks for the input. :)

I just checked out the Neiman site. How would I choose the best color for me?

Found this online:Bobbi Brown advises stockpiling a couple of "great all the time" shades that can be adapted to an event or season by layering on a deeper color or topping with a lighter gloss. Simply analyze your natural lip color, then take it up a notch. For pale lips, beige, sandy or pale pinks and white-coral tones work well. Medium lips look great in browns and roses. For medium-dark lips, raisin is recommended. For purple or dark brown pouts, go for chocolate or blackberry. ALSO: FREE SHIPPING CODE AT NEIMANS IS PUT IN NMBTY IN PROMOTION CODE. LOOKS LIKE BOBBI BROWN GWP IS GONE BUT AT LEAST YOU CAN GET FREE SHIPPING.

One thing I just found out about the free shipping code, I think the order has to be at least $85.00. That might defeat the whole thing :). Oh well, good luck.

I just got my Bobbi Brown lipstick today (they really shipped it fast) and it is SO-O-O nice!! The colour is perfect (I ordered "Rum Raisin") and it is so creamy. You can definitely tell the difference between a cheap lipstick and the real thing.

They also sent me two samples: one called "Face Base" which I guess is is a make-up base. It has a light citrus scent, so it may be okay I am very sensitive to scents near my eyes. The other is a sample of a fragrance spray called "Bath....(something or other)". It has a nice feminine scent.

I would definitely give them AAA+++ for service and quality.
