OK, I see you're back...where's the trip report? LOL Did you have fun? Tell! :)

Ugh! We are STILL recovering! LOL! The trip was wonderful, but the drive back was horrible! We had torrential downpours the entire way home, with maybe a total of two hour breaks. We were literally driving 40-45 mph in the passing lane on the interstate at times because the rain was so bad. It was an exhausting trip. There were also places that I was constantly scanning the sky for funnel clouds. The weather was not fun.

However, it is much easier leaving the beach when it is raining, and there are rip tide warnings!

We had only about 45 minutes of rain our entire week down there, and that had to be on Wednesday night, during the time we were supposed to watch the fireworks from the Dayton House! And it was lightning and everything, so that was out!!! But that was the only time it even clouded up. The rest of our time was wonderfully sunny!

We all parasailed and I have pictures of that I'll post later, and we also went out on the Sea Thunder, not Sea Screamer, which is SO much better, and I'll include that in my trip report on the Myrtle Beach Message Board for sure. We saw about 8-10 dolphins playing around for about 15-20 minutes, right around our boat. We just sat there and watched them. And then we would start up the engine and make some waves for them, and they would start playing around some more. It was awesome!

I took lots of pictures, and as soon as I upload them to my photo site, I'll give everyone the address to view them.

It was so hard to leave, and the only thing bringing me back were my animals!!! LOL! Can't wait till the Myrtle Beach area is my permanent home!

Oh yeah, we went to Myrtle Beach State Park for a few hours because my dh and dad went early that morning to fish off the pier. It was beautiful there. But you would not believe the SHARKS swimming around there! A couple guys caught sharks between 4-5 feet long. Dad hooked one about 4 feet long, but it broke his line. I saw one that was at least 4 feet long swimming right underneath us. And hubby caught a baby shark. We all wore our swimsuits, but I said nope, we'll swim when we get back to the Hotel! But you wouldn't believe the people swimming all around the area right there, and some right next to the pier! You couldn't pay me to swim there! That's one good thing about the Dayton House, no piers anywhere near it to draw those sharks in!

But we did have a terrific time. I'll try to get my full trip report typed up this evening or tomorrow sometime. Mine tends to turn into a book because I put in all those silly details, but they all seem to like the long reports on that message board! LOL!

I can't wait! Yes, when I was posting my book on the beach board, I kept thinking oh, this is too long! But everyone seems to like it (I do, too). The Sea Thunder sounds like fun! I was thinking about doing that, but we ran out of time. Glad you parasailed! :) I'm still reading the Sun online every day...can't seem to let go, even after three weeks. Did you see my photos? :)
