HI, everyone. I've been looking around the net for information on steam cleaners. Our carpet needs a cleaning and it's going to be very pricey to get it done, so we want to invest in steam cleaner. We've been looking into getting a Bissel, but there have been so many bad reviews. Can anyone recommend one? Thank you!

We actually have a small one, I think a Bissel, but we have mostly area rugs. We do like that brand though.

We have a Bissel and it has always worked great. We have had it for about 8 yrs.

We've had a Bissell Proheat for 5 or 6 yrs. Just took a quick peek at epinions and was surprised to see all the negative comments. We've had no problems with ours. I do like it, but will have to say I still like to get our rugs professionally cleaned every couple years. It's good for normal cleaning but doesn't do as thorough a job as a professional steam cleaning.
