A Good Shopping Day

I promised the kids about a week ago that I would take them to Toys R Us today (we all had the day off for Good Friday) so that they could spend their allowance. I didn't really expect to buy anything myself, but I saw a sign as we walked in the door that stated they were having a special 2-day sale on clearance clothes and shoes. So after the kids picked out what they wanted to buy I decided to walk through that department "just to look and see". All clearance clothes and shoes were 50% off the lowest price and then all shoes were also buy one get one 1/2 price. I bought six name-brand fall/winter outfits and one fall onsie for my soon-to-be nephew (my sil is due in July). The outfits, all originally $20 and up, ended up being $2.50 and less! I also bought two pairs name-brand tennis shoes (one pair is leather) for my ds and paid $4.20 for one pair and $3.70 for the other. I would have liked to shop more, but the kids and I were meeting dh for lunch and I had other errands to run this afternoon so I didn't get a chance to go back. Still, I am really happy with my purchases and I thought I'd share.
