Since we're talking celebs... LOL

I certainly don't have as cool of a story as Eve, but this is still pretty neat. A friend of ours owns a bowhunting supply company, and is close friends with Ted Nuegent (don't care much for him, but hubby is a huge fan!!), and also close with one of Toby Keith's managers. I'm a huge Toby fan, so he got me a personalized autograph, and is getting us meet and greet passes for a big concert here this summer, with Toby headlining. I got the picture in the mail on Saturday before we left for skydiving, it totally made my day!! (Of course, meeting Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani would TOTALLY trump that!!)

Crystal, that is very neat!

Okay, here's my celebrity encounter:

I picked up a penny for Joe Namath, when I was 10! He was running a football camp in Dudley, MA and was ahead of me in a store called Mammoth's. (like a KMart)

At the age of ten I thought he was the hugest human being I had ever seen! LOL

I love sharing my celeb story. When I was 16, I spent ten days in Paris and London and, while we were eating lunch in a McDonalds in London, all of the customers were asked to leave the restaurant. While we were standing around outside, finishing our meal, we saw Princess Di and her two boys go in with an entourage to pick something up to eat. Since I've only had one celebrity sighting, I'm glad I got a doozie!

They are just people that have to go potty like anybody else, but....
I know what you mean.

I stood in line at a little shop to get some monogramming done with Louise and Earline Mandrell about 10 years ago. Louise was very pleasant and chatty.

And about 20 years ago I had taken my new car to get serviced (wasn't married then). The service guy said that they were filming a Kenny Rogers video a couple of blocks away. I used to love Kenny Rogers and I had a couple of hours to blow so I walked over to check it out. He was standing close to the ropes that sectioned things off and was drinking a cup of coffee. I casually walked past the ropes. He was talking to somebody then turned to set his coffee down and looked and said Hi! How ya doing? I'm not a celeb nut or anything, never get autographs, they are just people, but I was so excited.

Cat Scratch Fever... smileyrockhead
Oops, sorry! I was enjoying a blast from my past. Nugent rocks! :)

I'll share my celeb story later. I need to bring DD to school.

My boyfriend in high school said he was distantly related to Ted somehow. ?

I used to work at a ticket booth at Meijer where we sold concert tickets, and I TOTALLY screwed up a ticket purchase for this one dude who had been standing in line for THREE HOURS waiting for Toby tickets to go on sale for his annual 9/11 concert in Allegan, Michigan. When tickets went up, it was a total feeding frenzy on the computer. I had him 6 seats in the 2nd row, and I LOST THEM! I have never been so mortified. If I could go back and do it over again the right way, I would.

Say hi to Toby for me.

Lets see I have 2 stories, 1 I had dinner with DH and some friends with Ted at Ted Nugents house for a wild game dinner about 8yrs ago It was awesome!! Ted sponsored friends race car.

And DH valeted Kenny Rogers car at the local mall here over a holiday season like 9 yrs back he didn't tip at all.

Ok, so those of you who have met Ted, is he really great? Our buddy, M, says he and his wife are 2 of the sweetest people he knows! Of course, N is just beside himself, because we've been promised backstage passes if Ted tours around.

Here is my one celebrity siting.

In 8th grade my friend and i were on our way home from Florida. Brian Austin Green and Luke Perry were in first class on our flight home! 90210 was not popular yet, but i did recognize Brian from the Teen Magazines. When i walked past him on the plane to get to my seat I looked at hime and smiled and he said "hey, how's it going?" or something like that. I was 14 yrs old, so of course i was so excited that he spoke to me! LOL

A few weeks later I watched Beverly Hills 90210 and realized who I had actually saw!
