Thinking it is not for the four year old right?
I would say Absolutely Not - although I did see some that young there. I saw it in 3-D IMAX so it was probably much scarier and realistic & louder than just a normal theater. But there is some thunderous booms, some scary situations and some violence that I'm sure would scare a youngster. As a matter of fact my 8 y/o DD had to take off her 3D glasses a few times because she was scared.
