How about those New Year's Resolutions
Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: How about those New Year's Resolutions
How about listing your New Year's Resolutions, maybe you'll inspire the rest of us, specifically ME !
As for mine, I am shrugging off my usual resolution of "decluttering" .... I'm starting to think my clutter-i-ness is a condition and not just a problem, IF I want to make a change, I'll have to come up with a plan and follow it, NOT just make a resolution to "be better" in the Year X ....
To quote one of my favorite, uh, philosophers ...."Good Grief !" said Charlie Brown.
Anyway, I've decided my New Year's Resolution will be ..... to pray and strive to be the person, friend, mother, and wife God wants me to be and to make my home a refuge from the world (the latter could actual encompass the whole "decluttering thing", couldn't it ?)
I'm pretty proud of that New Year's Resolution, I think I may even write it down in my new calendar !
What's YOURS ?
Come on, don't make me hang out all by myself on a limb feeling goofy .....
:} hahahaha !!!
I started really trying to become more healthy by exercising and really being careful of what I eat and drink (low fat, low sugar, more fruits, veggies, and whole grains). I'll continue that - except for the frozen pizza and brownies we're gonna have tonight during family game night!
I like yours especially the part about making my home a refuge from the world. I'd really have to give that some thought as to what I would do to make that happen - or maybe it already is that way? I'm going to think about that one.
Definitely a healthier life... eating, exercise! That's the biggy! Also, some time for myself. I need to rediscover who I am. I feel like I've lost myself being someone's wife and mom... so, I have to find ME again!
I am going to take a 30 minute walk every day.
I would like to do more for myself too.
Mine is getting more organized. I'm the queen of stick it notes and little papers with important info! I have a little address book/planner that actually takes me through an entire school year, which is neat. I have also managed to learn the address functions on my phone and on the computer. I also got a little calendar for the fridge, to put down our activities and appointments. Now I just have to stick to it!
