DD brought me a math problem. It's 10 to the 11th power. I haven't done these in so long that I don't want to tell her wrong.

Isn't that just 10 multiplied by 10 11 times?

Thanks for your help. I thought helping DS with his model of Saturn with all 60 moons and 21 rings last week was a killer.

yes it is! so 4 to the 3rd power (4^3) is 4x4x4 which is 64

and any number to the power of zero is just plain 1

10^0=1
7^0=1

and any number to the power of 1 is just that base number...

10^1=10
7^1=7

etc etc etc...
