Bluetooth

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive September 2008: Bluetooth
By Dawnk777 on Saturday, September 27, 2008 - 03:19 pm:

Our latest cellphones are bluetooth capable, but I didn't have bluetooth on my computer, so the only way I could download pictures, was to spend $0.25 to message them to my Flickr account. DH bought an HP bluetooth adaptor, and spent hours trying to get it to work and could never pair up the devices.

So, today, we went to Best Buy and bought an Iogear Bluetooth adaptor and it works perfectly with our phones. It's tiny, too, and just plugs into a USB port.

So, now I can download the pictures to my computer and then upload them to Flickr from my computer, saving the 25 cents. It's really not the money. It's just the principle of the thing.

We don't send enough messages to warrant the unlimited messaging, so we just have a pay-as-you-go service.

Hmmm, so you can download pictures off of your phone to your computer via your bluetooth? I have a plantronics bluetooth and I have tons of pics on my phone that I would like to download, I don't have bluetooth on my computer either so maybe this is what I need to do the job?

I would think so. Is your phone equipped with bluetooth, though? Whenever Sarah gets a new phone, she wants one with bluetooth on it.

Yes, mine is equipped with bluetooth as far as I know, my bluetooth is installed on it, and I love it, I just look like I am talking to myself alot of the time when I am out and about!

LOL! I've seen people like that! We don't have bluetooth headsets for the phones yet. They are expensive. I rarely use mine in the car. If the phone rings while I'm driving, I often have a kid with me who can answer it.

Then this gizmo would work for you. It looks huge in the picture, but is only thumb-sized.

Maybe I'll see if I can get one the next time we get paid.
