Ds has been complaining that his neck hurt. He couldn't hold his head up straight and nothing we were doing seemed to help. He was crying this evening and said it was getting worse so we headed up to the er.

The dr said it was probably just slept on wrong, which is what was wrong. However I had a bit of a scare when the dr said the build up she saw was not where you usually see it on a stiff neck and she wanted to do a cat scan to make sure it wasn't something more serious in the nodes. I knew more than likely everything would be ok but that was a nerve wracking couple of hours. Ultimately she said it was a good thing we brought him in, she would have if it were her child but to keep doing what we were doing. Poor guy is in some pain but I am so grateful it wasn't anything serious.

Oh, it's so awful when they have neck pain like that. You never know that it's not something very serious. Hope the doc gave hime something for the pain and that he feels better soon.

I'm glad that it wasn't anything serious, but can see how them wanting to do a CT scan would be a little scary!
