About 10-12 years ago, I was getting out of the car. My window was open, and I had my fingers around the top of the window, as I climbed out of the car. While I'm getting out of the car, the window started going up and my fingers were temporarily trapped, until I yelled at Gary to put the window down. So, why all of a sudden NOW, are they thinking of auto-reverse sensors on power windows? Why didn't they think of it, say, 10-12 years ago? I was really okay, other than temporarily being in pain. Of couse, maybe my husband could have waited until I was out of the car, to close the window, too.

These are really good ideas. A friend of my family's ran over their dog, in their driveway. It's made my extra-paranoid, to make sure kids and dog are out of the driveway, when someone is backing up. "On the porch" is something my dog knows well.

These are all a good idea. How long will it take for them to be implemented in new cars? We really aren't in the market, for a new vehicle, at this point in time, anyway.
