50 Car Pile Up

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive January 2008: 50 Car Pile Up
By Marcia on Sunday, January 20, 2008 - 03:33 pm:

This is minutes from my home. DH is on his way home from work on this road. He left at 2:30, and called me at 3:20. He is sitting on the highway with the car off, because nothing is moving. He's only about 3 minutes away from work, and 1 minute from the nearest exit, but can't move. It's bitterly cold today, which makes this even worse for everyone involved.

Accident

Certainly puts my car accident last night in to perspective. Hope no one was seriously hurt.

Yikes. Pile-ups are hard, because they're so many vehicles to deal with and the weather conditions are usually less than ideal, with fog or snow. Ugh. I hope no one is seriously hurt or killed.

Did he make it home OK??

By Marcia on Monday, January 21, 2008 - 09:30 am:

Yup. He got off of the highway as soon as he could, and took back roads home.

No one was killed, thankfully. There ended up being about 100 cars involved in 2 accidents a few miles apart.

Oh no! What a mess! Glad your hubby made it home safe and sound.

Glad your DH made it home okay... What a mess. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt by the way it sounds.

Yuck. I'm glad no one was killed and no one was seriously hurt.
