12 yrs ago today, after 28 hrs of labor, I gave birth to my first baby boy. He was the first grandbaby and the first boy in our family. Needless to say he was spoiled rotten. lol He is almost as tall as me now. He will be in 7th grade this yr. He is growing up so fast.

We were going to spend his birthday canoeing down the Elk River. It is raining. So we are going later this week. He decided he wants to go to the movies today instead. ('Dodgeball' w/Ben Stiller) His brothers and I plan to bake him a Mississippi Mud Cake and homemade ice cream for after dinner tonight. We quit having bday parties for our kids and give them a $100 bill every yr on their bday. They can do whatever they want with it. He is putting his in his savings acct. (saving for a car he says!)

He was at his Dad's this weekend and his Dad gave him a new Bow for his bday. That is what his brother got for his bday in November. Now the *3* of them can go bow hunting together, target practice together and they also plan to go to some Bow Shoots together this Fall.

His Mema took him shopping for his bday on Friday and he got to pick out some new clothes. She and Papa also took them to the movies Thursday night. So today will be his 3rd (and final) celebration. ;)
