Coffee these days comes in so many different sizes. They stick that stuff in the same looking size containers, yet the contents all vary.

I've been getting the Gevalia brand stuff shipped to us. It taste yummy, but certainly more expensive.

What type (decaff, special roast, flavored, etc), what size and what brand do you get at what cost?

I am the only one in my house that drinks it, so I just buy Starbucks.

We buy the beans from a place near dh's work. Cafe Ziba - we pay between 12-15 per lb. depending on the type of beans.

I'm cheap! I like Kroger's "Coffee Cafe" brand...100% Columbian. I forget how much it costs, but it's not expensive, plus I stock up when it's on sale. I like it because it's strong, but not bitter. I doctor mine with sugar and half&half, so that may make a difference. Of course, I also treat myself to a Starbucks several times a week!

we buy the Starbucks beans -- i like to grind it myself -- i usually pa about $15 -$20 a lb. but i am the only one that drinks it & not everyday so it last :)

We can get Starbucks beans, 2.5 lbs. for about $16 at Sams Club.

We've been experimenting with different coffee beans lately, so the price per lb. has fluctuated according to the brand and where we buy.

I am the only one who drinks it also, a cup, maybe two a day. The last time I bought coffee was last week. I bought Starbucks. One lb for about $6.50. I ground it in the same market where I bought it.
It's very tasty. I also use less because it is more potent than the other brands, I think.

I find the Starbucks to have an "over" roasted flavor. I like Dunkin' Donuts coffee. I think it's seven dollars of so for a pound ground. Sometimes they have a special, two for one. It's really good coffee, and we drink a lot of it.

We also buy Starbucks beans and have them ground at the same place. Today I bought a different brand though, trying to pinch pennies :)

Mara, if you have a Sam's Club or similar warehouse type store near you, they have started carrying several different brands of beans. The latest one we have tried that we really like is Kauai Coffee, supposedly 100% Hawaiian, like I would know the difference, right? LOL Anyway, it's very good, and we've gotten other brand of whole beans there that are cheaper than Starbucks.

We buy Green Mountain (usually around $8 a pound) and I grind it at the store. My Dh is the only one who drinks coffee in our house.

I used to live in Costa Rica and I LOVE costa rican coffee. We order from a place called The website is in spanish but I think you can translate it. We pay less than $5 a lb and it is THE BEST COFFEE IN THE WORLD!! You do have to pay for shipping, but we usually order like 15 lbs at a time and will split it with my folks. Seriously, this is a zillion times better than starbucks. We get either cafe rey which is a stronger roast...or la montana which I really like. Cafe Britt is also really good. If you love coffee you will really really enjoy this coffee.
