Shopping help

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive December 2007: Shopping help
By Enchens on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 - 03:06 am:

Hi, Ladies.

If anyone would like to help me do some Christmas shopping, I would LOVE the help. My ds, 4.5, wants a fire engine so bad that he prays for one at church. LOL

Has anyone seen one that would be durable? (The ones at WalMart and Target didn't seem sturdy enough, KWIM?)

Thanks for the help.

I actually am up right now checking out a Wii tracker trying to catch a Nintendo Wii in stock online! I set my alarm for 3:00 a.m. so I could check! The crazy thing is, my son isn't actually asking for this. He wants one badly, but thinks they are too expensive and won't ask for one. I'd love to be able to see his face when Santa brings him one!

So anyway, check out this link. It has several higher end fire trucks, some that make noise, some that you even ride! Hope you can find something for him!

Adena- What do you mean by a wii tracker? We already have a wii it is the Guitar hero for wii that my son wants, is there any way I could track that to that I don't know about? lol!

Nancy- That is precious about the fire truck, just too precious!!!

Luv29--We live in rural MN, so far we haven't had a problem finding them. I'm running out this evening and could see if they have them still, or again. We have bought them for several of our realatives and they just pay us back. After tax it ends up being $267.49. (Yes, we've done it about 10X). If you would like me to pick one up let me know. beckman family @ new ulm tel dot net.

Mom2three1968-- We ordered out Wii guitar hero on line from game stop or cuircuit city. It is around $100 so we got free shipping. I'm soo glad we did that because I haven't seen them in any stores. Santa's bring this one. Way to go Santa.

Enchens-- We have always got trucks, tractors, fire trucks at the tractor supply or implement dealer. good luck

Thank you. Wow! What a variety!

Tsa, I just e-mailed you. I just got home from the school, and saw this! Thanks for the offer. Hope you can still find them there!

Mom2Three, yes, you can find a guitar hero tracker. I googled to get several options. But the one I use is www.nowinstock.net. Good luck!

Enchens, hope you were able to find some trucks he would enjoy! It hit a soft spot with me because my ds went through a firetruck stage. We bought him a ride on that he practically lived on! He kept if for a couple of years and enjoyed it so much!

Tsa, did you get my e-mail? I'm really unsure of whether I got it right! LOL!

By Tsa on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 - 08:34 pm:

Luvn29 did not get your e-mail. no spaces in address.

Enchens, you are wise to look for something durable, because the love of fire engines can last awhile. My 17 year old DS got his driver's permit today. In studying the manual, he apparently paid special attention to the various levels of license. He held up his permit and said, "In six months I'll be able to get a Class C Driver's License. They're good for passenger vehicles and FIRE TRUCKS!"

(I'm mystified by the catagories, but he is correct. Delivery trucks, no. Fire trucks, yes. Seems to me fire trucks are bigger. I guess it's about volunteer fires departments.)

Happy shopping!

I would be very interested if you can still find one! I have a paypal account that I would be willing to pay you with or I can send check or money order. Whatever you would prefer!

Or one of these?

He's four and a half so I'm not sure if I should go with the younger one or with the older one.

Your help is appreciated. Thank you!

Dealing with my nephews who are about his age I would say get the second one (the older one).

Good luck!

By Andi on Sunday, December 2, 2007 - 12:43 pm:

I say the second one...:)

By Bobbie~moderatr on Sunday, December 2, 2007 - 01:48 pm:

Agree, the second one.

I found one at Toys'r Us today! Thank goodness! It's not exactly what he wants, but it will have to do. (He had too many requirement! LOL) It's pretty large, durable, has the lights and sounds, and even came with a firefighter.

Anyway, thank you to all of you ladies for your help. I greatly appreciate it. I will be thinking of you all when my little boy squeals with delight on Christmas morning.
