Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive July 2007: Neighbors I am ready to move venting kinda long
By Shann on Monday, July 16, 2007 - 01:45 pm:

I had posted in the past about the neighbors to the right of us are drug dealers well we talked to someone and he was passing the info along. The last time we spoke to him he said that they knew who lived there where they worked and everything. He said that they are being watched that we wont see them but they are there. Now the lady to the left of us is a few cards short from a full deck. any when I would mow my lawn I would notice alot of garbage. We have a complete fenced yard and I am wondering man my kids are messy. I find out that this lady is throwing her trash in my yard. Which I confront her and tell her that I would appricate her throwing her trash in the garbage and not in my yard well she goes on to tell me that my kids are throwing it in her yard and all this I could under stand if its stuff that I have actually used or seen my kids with but this garbage is coming from accross the street. When they throw there garbage out they just thow it on the side so when the wind blows the garbage goes to her place. anyway I have no more garbage that dont belong to me. About 3 weeks ago she brings a dog home. I have 3 which I have no problem with her having a dog Just take care of it. Last week she throws this puppy out and leaves for work. (its only about 8-9 weeks old). He comes to my fence crying and whinning wanting in. He had no food or water. So I call animal control and tell them the situation. They say we cant do anything until Monday. So I call her at work and tell her you need to come take care of your dog he is cyring and hungry. She never somes home. She threatens us by telling us we need to watch our backs. I just ignore her. Last night she puts the poor puppy out and about midnight dd wakes up because this puppy is our out front gate crying and whinning wanting in. I get up this morning hoping she has put it in or done something for him but no he is under my van eating a piece of wood and fighting the cats off for it. So dh calls animal control they come out and we couldnt find the puppy so he left a sitation and they will be comming back out to see if she makes proper agrangements for the dog. It hurts my feelings to know end because its a beautiful yellow lab. In my opioin if you are going to have a dog have a fenced yard or a nice dog run dont let them run freely. I obey the rules and I think she should do the same. Now I am kinda afraid that she will do something to us in return. My sil works for this lady and my sil hears stuff that she says about us. but thats just hearsay. I am kinda worried

Document everything!!!!!

Fire up your word processor and type in everything that has happened including the dates and times of events, phone calls you have made and conversations that took place.

This woman made a threat to you, so if she does anything, you have documentation to back up your claims.

You also have the word of the animal control officer who responded to your call.

Good luck. Poor puppy.

I would be making a police report if you are seriously nervous from her threat. I am not a legal expert by any means, but I would think a police report would be better than just writing down days and times of things. Honestly, anyone could do that, true or not. I would keep notes of things just for your own record, but I would be calling the police if I felt at all threatened.

HUGS to you!! I would want to move, too! And people like your neighbour make me SO angry! People like that have no business having an animal! She is lucky that he didn't run off, with no fence, etc. Plus, being so little, he's suseptible to predators, etc. He is a baby. It sounds like he knows where to go (you) for help. :) Maybe you should feed him so he doesn't starve, at least until the authorities (hopefully) do something.

Whatever you do, don't discuss the drug situation on the other side of you with HER! You don't want her telling them and tipping them off.

I hope they take the pup away from her.
