I want to fast i think lol = ) but will it affect my weight loss because i always thought if you starved yourself that wasn't good right? well i guess i wouldn't be starving because don't you get juices and such or broth? i don't know i guess i need to look into it more lol ...have a great day everyone...

okay well fasting isn't always bad for you. If you fast for long periods and then eat normally, then fast again, you can screw up your metabolism.

A couple of questions though, do you want to fast for weight reasons, or religious reasons? How long do you want to fast? A fast simply means going without, you can choose whether it is a full fast (nothing but water) or a partial fast (juices allowed), really you get to set the rules.

Readers digest actually just published a little quickie article about fasting one day a month can help weight loss. I would think a full fast would be what they were talking about.

Brandy, I've been considering a fast too, some people do a week long fasting, but I think I would like to try for 2-3 days first, and plan to do a water/tea fasting. Let me know what you decide!! There is a special tea you can make to fast, although I would have to search for more details on it.
