Teething Tablets??

Moms View Message Board: Parenting Discussion: Teething Tablets??
By Brooke327 on Thursday, July 13, 2006 - 08:07 am:

Has anyone ever used these or heard of them?

They are little white tablet that you put under the babys tounge and they dissolve instantly. They are suppose to give relief for teething discomfort. They are homeopathic, 100% natural and have no side affects.

What do you think?

And what about orajel?

TIA

Hylands makes them. They are great! My son lived on them. My doc was not a fan of anything rubbed on the gums because it just came off - especially with all the saliva babies produce when teething.

There's also something called Camilia made by Boiron. It is a liquid that comes in individual ampules. It is really good, too.

Good luck.

Ditto Hylands if you can find them. There is also a liquid version called Camilia which is sometimes easier to find.

I just spoke to the Dr. and he said that the tablets were fine. He is also calling in a script for Xylocaine Viscous liquid to apply to the babies gums. He said that it is instant relief. Has anyone used this ????

The tablets are great- hylands are usually pretty easily found at any health food store and ofte nare now in some drug stores like CVS etc.
I am very wary of the oragels and such as there has been very little research on the effects of those on the kids...just mho!
Have not heard of the prescription...but just curious- is your dk in alot of pain to neccesitate a scrip???
Just curious!

He is in pain, the script is like orajel but, alittle stronger and works quicker.
