Me, and my DS love fried Okra.
I bought some Okra frozen at the grocery store. I was wondering *how to bread it* we don't much care for the taste of just plain Okra.........gotta be breaded and fried.

My family prefers a cornmeal batter on it, kind of like fish fry. I dip it in egg and then coat with seasoned cornmeal and fry.

Soak it in a beaten egg for 5 minutes. Mix corn meal, salt and pepper into a bowl. (I also always add Crazy's Jane's Salt) Then, coat the okra with it. In the meantime have some oil heated up in a pan. Don't have too much oil. Really just enough to cover the bottom of the frying pan, maybe a tad bit more. Cook until golden brown. Then, drain on a paper towel. Yummy!

This works better with fresh okra cut up. It's sort of sticky and coats really well!
