PASTEL
MINTS

3 oz. softened cream cheese
2 - 2 ½ c. powdered sugar
½ tsp. peppermint extract red, blue, green & yellow food colors
¼ tsp. butter flavor
dash salt

Mix cream cheese with extract and butter flavor. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar. Knead until no longer sticky. Divide into four portions. Knead in food colors a drop at a time until you get a pretty pastel. Shape into ½ " balls. Roll in powdered sugar and flatten with a spatula. Allow to dry at room temperature. Store lightly covered in refrigerator. Makes about 7 doz.
