This stuff is addicting!! Very easy to make too.I timed myself last night, start to finish was 12 minutes(plus cooling time).

Microwave Toffee

1 C Chopped Pecans
1 C Chocolate Chips
1/2 C butter
1/4 C Water
1 C Sugar
1 t Salt

In a microwave safe casserole dish, butter the sides 2 inches(top to bottom). Put the butter, water, sugar and salt into the dish. Microwave for 7 minutes. After the initial 7 minutes, cook for 1 minute at a time...check after each minute. Cook until it turns a light tan.

While the butter mixture is cooking, spread out 1/2 of the pecans on parchment paper in a 9 inch circle.

When butter mixture is ready, pour over nuts. Sprinkle with the chocolate chips. Wait 1 minute, then spread out with a spatula. Top with other 1/2 of pecans. Put into refrig. for 1 hour, then break into bite size pieces.

I forgot: Don't stir!! Just dump everything in and let it cook.
