I'm looking for a recipe for red and blue swirled cookies. From what I remember of the recipe, you rolled out the cookie in a rectangle, sprinkled it with 1 tsp each of red and blue sugar, rolled it up, chilled it, then sliced and baked.

I can't find my issue and I CAN'T find the recipe on kraftfoods.com Argh. I wanted to make them today.

If I don't find the recipe, I have a good recipe for sugar cookies and will just wing it.

Never mind! LOL! My kids came home from Grandma's and told me it was at Betty Crocker's website! I'm so embarrassed.

Red White and Blue Cookies

Oh, and I ran to the store, to get a few other ingredients and never checked to see if we had blue sugar. Darn it. We were out! So, it's red sugar and sprinkles now!

So, I used my regular sugar-cookie dough recipe and it's been hard to roll up. Even with the AC on, it's hot in my kitchen and the dough doesn't stayed chilled for long. My dough rolls are in the freezer now, for a little bit. I hope that works better. They aren't going to be all perfect like the picture though.
