“It was a struggle, but it was a labor of love. And we were determined to succeed,” says Doug, now CEO. “Our first month's shipment was only 40 packages. Still, we did our best to keep going, and keep our reputation strong. That was the important thing—we took care of our customers first.”

And in the end, their customers took care of them. Word-of-mouth brought many more members. Before long the national media began to take notice; the Doretti brothers and their unique company were featured on Good Morning America and Fox News TV segments, interviewed for numerous radio broadcasts, and written about in a host of major publications such as USA Today and Entrepreneur Magazine.
