I use puppy shampoo on mine. I got the baby powder scents one. They make tons of puppy shampoo. I would think there should be an unscented one out there.

I would think baby shampoo would be fine, but I've always used dog shampoo. I've also never given a puppy a bath I don't think! LOL Shelby got covered in wet newspaper ink when she was only 12 weeks or so and I remember just holding her in the tub faucet and rinsing her off.

I would think baby shampoo would be ok, but maybe put a quick call into your vet and ask. I would be very careful that the puppy didn't lick any of the soap or water.

Baby shampoo is fine, you don't have to dilute. I wash day old bottle feeders with johnsons baby shampoo (when they are covered with fleas and need a bath). You can even use the conditioner.

Be safe and buy an oatmeal puppy shampoo. I'm not sure if the Ph is low enough in baby shampoos so unless you call the vet to double check, I wouldn't do it.

I think human shampoo has a different pH from dog shampoo. We have always used a doggie shampoo.

I used baby shampoo very sparingly on my puppy. No seemingly ill effects. But when I took him to the groomers, I got fussed at a little b/c she went into the ph thing and said that human shampoo even baby shampoo dries out their skin too much and makes them itch.

We were up visiting my parents yesterday and all the girls took a walk, including the furry one, while the guys went to solve a computer problem, at my parents' church. The furry girl decides to roll in something nasty, on the walk and stunk to high heaven, when we got back to my mom's house. My mom wasn't going to let me wash her in the only tub they have in their house, so we went outside! The only shampoo we had access to, was human shampoo, so I used that! I don't think we could have stood 3 hours in the car with her, today, on the ride home, if I hadn't done something!

It was only marginally warm enough to do an outside bath! LOL! Poor Jasmine. She probably thought I was nuts getting her ALL wet, with the hose. After a while, she started hiding in the bushes! Who could blame her! She smelled much better after that, though!

She likes to play with the hose, but usually just taking a drink and only getting her face wet! Oh well.
