On the way to school this morning I saw an animal on the side of the road that had been hit by a car. At first I thought it was our neighbor's cat. On the way back I stopped to get a closer look and was relieved to see it was an opossum. Don't get me wrong, I'm sad for the little critter, but glad I don't have to be the bearer of bad news to my neighbor.
