Computer question

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive May 2007: Computer question

I noticed for quite some time now that when I look back at old cd-rw's where I've saved all of our photos and videos that the icons are different. They changed a while back after I updated something on my computer. The videos and pics are all fine (thank goodness!), but they all have the same icon...a big red circle with a white "W" in the middle of them. Video and pic icons all look the same, so you have to scroll over it to see which it is. The vids are still quick time movies.

Anyone know what this icon stands for/means? TIA:)

It's probably the logo to whatever default program you have set up to view the photo's with. So, if you were to double click on one of the photo's (the icon), it would be opened into that specific program.
Sometimes when I update my computer, or download new software, it automatically changes my default program for viewing photo's. You can just go back in and change it back to whichever program you'd like to use.
