Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive February 2007: Tattoos that came with valentines day cards warning
By Shann on Thursday, February 15, 2007 - 10:42 am:

ds came home from school yesterday with a bunch of valentines cards with those little tattoos. Well he decided to put all of them on each of his shoulders last night he started complaning about how his shoulders hurt and I didn't think anything of those little tattoos well this morning he woke up and his shoulders were red with alot of heat where those tattoos were so I took alchol and rub them off and one of the tattoos left a red welp that shows the outline of the tattoo and the other just red but ds cried and cried because it was burning while I was rubbing gettin them off. So I don't know I think he had a reaction to the ink so just A little warning about them. He goes today to have the dr to look at him.

Shann, your lack of punctuation makes me think you must have been really upset! Hope he feels better! Keep us posted. :)

Poor little guy! I hope the dr. can give him some ointment or cream to make him feel better...

Ouch! Sounds like he could be allergic to them. My DD came home with 6 "tattoos" on her arm yesterday. Most of them came off during her shower last night. I remember when I was little, there was a warning with the cracker jack box tattoos. Something about them having drugs in them or something. For awhile, none of the neighborhood kids were allowed to have the tattoos.
