Just wanted to post an update about Indy's bark collar. The first time we put it on and she barked she yelped. She never barked again while wearing the collar.

If she has her regular collar on she barks as much as she usually does, which most days it's minimal, while other days it's a lot.

This morning she would not stop barking and I did not want her in house because the ground is wet and her feet were mucky. If I let her in too early in the day she would be in and out all day long. I called her to the door put her bark collar on and did not hear a peep from her for hours. Later I remembered she had the bark collar on so I called her to the door took the collar off and let her out again.

So it seems that she knows that when the bark collar is on she cannot bark, but is free to bark when it's off. I'll continue to monitor her while she has the Bark collar on and see how it goes but I'm glad I kept a somewhat open mind about it.

That's very interesting. We've been talking about a bark collar for our terrier and I really didn't know how I felt about it. If it was that simple of a lesson, I feel more comfortable trying it out on our dog. I think we'd use it in a similar way. Thanks for the update.
