Every year, the high school that my kids go to, sponsors a "Walk for Warmth" that raises money for people who can't afford their heating bills. Last year, they raised about $6000 and this year they raised about $9600. We usually contribute $20/kid and both my daughters participated this year.

A representative said that the money raised in the walk, can help get a $750 bill, down to $15!

I think this is great! There are plenty of hard working people in this country who need this kind of help. I think it was great that your daughters participated in something like this.

I think that is wonderful that they are concerned about other people ,at their ages.Rayelle is right,sometimes people just can't make ends meet,no matter how hard they try.Glad they are giving them a "hand UP ".
