Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive November 2006: Sometimes he can be romantic....
By Jewlz on Monday, November 27, 2006 - 12:50 pm:

today i checked my DH email at his work and this is a message that he sent out to his coworkers. ( please dont get mad at me snooping ... yeah i know i should trust him but well somedays he dont deserve it) anyways ... he is trying hard now and when he tries it shows ...

My wife and I have been married for 25 years on December 29, 2006. We are going to go to Las Vegas to renew our vows. Would all romantics out there kindly advise me of some little gift to give her each day for 10 days commencing on 12/19/2006. She is into cooking, sewing, and movies and has always been a "stay at home" mom for our 2 children. Thanks

That's so sweet! My DH and I will be married 25 years on December 12! We won't be doing anything too big, because our oldest child will be graduating from college the same week - but that's a lot to celebrate, too! :)

AWWWwwwww....

But darn it! Now you ruined the surprise! :)

By Wandilu on Monday, November 27, 2006 - 05:06 pm:

How sweet !!!! But now that you "secretly" know, you can let it "intensify" your excitement !!!!!!!

By Bellajoe on Monday, November 27, 2006 - 05:35 pm:

That is very sweet, it's too bad that the surprise is ruined!

Since you know you have to "retalliate", come up with 10 special "dates" or meals to say thank you. This gives you plenty of time to plan!

I love romantic stories. Enjoy your gifts.

Now you get to act surprised IF he pulls it off.. If not you get to be mad that he didn't do the presents.

Sounds like he is planning a great time for you.. And congrats on the renewal.

On a side note, How's life post surgery going lately?

By Jewlz on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 - 07:52 pm:

yes im trying to come up with a few thins to surprise him with. hes been inthe dog house this whole year for doing some stupid things that jeopardzed out marriage. We will see if he values me as much as i value him. the ball is in his hands so to speak to do what he chooses. bobbie as for my surgery ... im doing ok ... still have this stupid hpylori deal a virus in my stomach and they are sendingme to a specialist to evaluate me to see why three regiments of the antibiotics aint worked. sighs it wasnt any fun taking them either. i started at 426 and down to 209. im living life to the fullest and trying to enjoy every minute that i have lost in the past. i have no regrets about it just not as easy as one precieves it at times. Tday was funny to me. i got a buffet ( we went to a restaurant) and my buffet was like a lil kids i got a bite off eveoryones platelol
hope ur doing well and life is treatin u well.

Jewlz, I am SO HAPPY for you! That's a total loss of 217 pounds! WOW!!!!

If you can do that for him, and keep it off, and keep up the positive attitude, you will have gone a long way to showing him how much he means to you. Best of luck to you!
