DD's kindy teacher

I absolutely love her kindergarten teacher. She has been so helpful with dd. But the thing that she did the other day, just tells you where her heart is. In dd's K class they are allowed to take a stuffed animal, leave it in their backpack and have it out for nap time. Not sure about the whole scenario, but dd took a little giraffe named Giraffey. It came home with a bandaid on its leg. Dd said that Giraffey fell off the table and was upset. (dd has been in a whiney mood all week). So her teacher put a bandage on Giraffey's leg to make dd feel better.

Hooray for teachers like her. I had lunch with dd 2 weeks ago. The other teachers were constantly getting up fussing at their students. DD's class was acting pretty decent. When she did say anything to them, she told one little boy that he wasn't going get any muscles if he didn't eat 2 more bites of his sandwich and told another boy to move b/c his muscles were going to be even smaller than the first boy's b/c he hadn't eaten any of his lunch b/c of his constant chatter. Both boys laughed but grabbed up their sandwiches. The kids responded so well to her.

And dd loves her. She's been doing such good work b/c she tells them to do their work like they were doing it for Jesus. (Yes, it's not a public school.)

She sounds really nice. In the lunchroom, where I work, the principle is always telling them to eat and drink. For some kids, it just doesn't seem to matter. Lately, she seems really obsessed with them getting their drinks finished. I'm not sure if it's for hydration, or to just make sure they are drinking their milk. Not all kids have milk, though.

what a sweet teacher! It sounds like she really knows how to connect with the kids!
Some people are just born to be teachers!
