Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive August 2006: Happiness Is... here's a new game for us
By Wandilu on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 - 11:20 pm:

There used to be a cute little thing in the newspaper that would say "Happiness Is..." and it would have a different saying each week.Such as "Happiness Is...seeing my husband unload the dishwasher,WITHOUT being asked!" Or,"Happiness Is...the smell of clean sheets!" So,I thought it would be fun to start a thread like this.

I'll go first...

Happiness Is...Hearing my 2yr old DGD say "My loves you,Nanny !"

Happiness is a new lawn just starting to grow :)

Happiness is hearing my children playing and giggling together

Happiness is a walk through the park on a crisp fall day, hearing the leaves crunch beneath my feet and seeing the beautiful fall colors. Then going inside and having a piece of apple pie. And apple cider.
(can you tell i am ready for fall?)

Watching kids make new friends and playing together like they have know each other forever.

Happiness is...

The look on my neighbors faces when they were showing off their new baby granddaughter to us last night. AND that precious, perfect little baby. :)

The look on kid's faces when they finally *get* something they've been trying to figure out.

The joy both my kids had last night when Robin gave Randy a birthday present--and Randy loved it! :)

Happiness is--being able to be home with my children
Happiness is--getting involved in a stained glass project and losing all sense of time

Happiness is--Sarah wanting to wait in the living room, for the UPS man to deliver her camera and Emily saying she'd stay there and keep Sarah company. They were working on a jigsaw puzzle, when I left for work.

Happiness is--3 days off this weekend! (I still have to work tomorrow!)

Happiness is--not having to work Sunday, so I can sing with my choir!
